India is set to launch its campaign on Friday, October 4, against New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Placed in Group A, India faces strong competition, including defending champions Australia, arch-rivals Pakistan, and Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka.

The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash will take place on Sunday, October 6, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM IST (2:00 PM local time). After this encounter, India will play against Sri Lanka on October 9 in Dubai and Australia on October 13 in Sharjah.

India vs Pakistan Record in the Women’s T20 World Cup

India and Pakistan have faced off seven times in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, with India leading the rivalry with five wins to Pakistan’s two. Their first meeting occurred in 2009 in Taunton, where India triumphed by five wickets with 14 balls to spare.

India continued their dominance in the 2010 edition, defeating Pakistan by nine wickets in Basseterre. Pakistan’s first victory over India came in the 2012 edition, held in Galle, with Nida Dar shining with a 3-12 performance, leading Pakistan to a narrow one-run win.

In 2014, India returned to winning ways, defeating Pakistan by six runs in Sylhet, thanks to Soniya Dabir’s 3-14. Pakistan’s second victory came in 2016 in Delhi, winning a rain-affected match by two runs via the DLS method.

India has emerged victorious in the last two T20 World Cup encounters against Pakistan. In 2018, India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in Providence, with Mithali Raj anchoring the chase with 56 off 47 balls. In their most recent clash in 2022, India once again triumphed by seven wickets in Cape Town, with Jemimah Rodrigues scoring an unbeaten 53 off 38 balls.
